Col  (Dr) JP Singh, Armoured Corps, PhD

 Colonel ( Dr) JP Singh is an alumnus of IIM Bangalore, Institute of Technology Management, Musoorie(UK) and the elite Defence Institute of Psychological Research, New Delhi besides a number of other institutions in India and abroad. He completed his schooling from a residential Public School and  has earned his Indian School Certificate  from the prestigious Cambridge University. The officer did his B.Sc. and Masters with specialization in Cytogenetic and Plant Breeding from Kurukshetra University and went on to do M.Sc. in Psychology from Madras University in first class. He is a Post Graduate Diploma in Computers Applications from DOEACC society and has completed his A level programme. The officer also completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication from Punjabi University Patiala in 2004 and  Advanced Work Study Course from Institute of Technology Management, Mussoorie (Uttarakhand) securing A grade.

He excelled in Psychological Assessor’s Training Programme at the reputed Defence Institute Psychological Research, New Delhi and completed his practical training from Selection Centre Bangalore and qualified as an assessor on the panel of selectors ( assessors) as the Chief Psychologist / Technical Officer  cum advisor to the  18 Services Selection Board, Allahabad, the largest Armed Forces Services Selection Centre  of the Country.

During his training at IIM Bangalore, he was adjudged the best communicator in Armed Forces Officers Programme and is an interactive member of the alumni association of IIM Bangalore (The  ELITE  Executive Education Programme). A Cavalier of the Silver Sprocket family, the first Cavalry unit raised in independent India on tanks, Colonel (Dr) J.P. Singh has been instrumental in establishing The Cavaliers chain of guidance academies in end nineties. He has been on the prestigious appointments of Technical Officer cum Advisor, an Assessor and Chief Psychologist at 18 Services Selection Board Allahabad associated with  Selection of Officers for the Armed Forces of India and has written many military papers and international papers in reputed journals during his path to earn his doctorate in ‘Refining of Selection System for Officers of Indian Armed Forces and has given various suggestions to improve the system. As a qualified assessor, he has evaluated over thousands of  candidates. Besides excelling in the field of Management and Selection, the officer has commanded a Military Police set up covering Rajasthan and Punjab and specializes in interrogation and investigative techniques. He has been the longest serving OIC at ECHS Polyclinic Karnal. He is an arbor culturist of repute and is member of the Wild Life Society of India.   

 Both sons of the Officer are alumni of the prestigious National Defence Academy, Kharakvasla (Pune).

Presently, the officer is envisioning  youth through his Lakshya India venture at Karnal ( Haryana) and has  been instrumental in sending a large number of candidates to the  NDA, IMA and OTA  both from urban and rural background. He specializes in Human behaviour, Career Counselling, Image Profiling and Personality Evaluation using latest Psychometric Techniques of testing  in vogue and has honed and pioneered in these fields at IIM Bangalore, the Services Selection Centre Allahabad and the Lakshya India.
